SEBS Array Adaptive Magnetic Brake System
The SEBS Magnetic Brake system utilizes two adaptive system components to generate braking forces. 8 strong magnets shaped in an adaptive ring array create a dynamic magnetic field. The spool induction rotor assembly rotates in and out of the adaptive ring array, depending on the spool RPM, creating a Lorentz force that in turn induces a braking force on the spool.
(A):Expand
(B):Contract
(1):The strength of the magnetic field is based on the distance between the adaptive magnetic ring array and the spool induction rotor. As both components are dynamic, the spacing will be closer the faster the spool rotates and in turn increase the braking force.
(2):Under high RPM: The spool induction rotor will rotate due to a cam mechanism be allowed to move closer to the adaptive magnetic ring array. This will cause a strong Lorentz force which in turn attracts the magnets on the adaptive magnetic ring array inducing a strong braking force.
(3):Under low RPM: The spool induction rotor is farther away from the adaptive magnetic ring array and the braking force is reduced.
(C):Move out under high RPM
(D):Drop back under low RPM
(4):The strength of braking is controlled by the distance between the spool induction rotor and the magnets on the adaptive magnetic ring array.
(5)Under high RPM: The spool induction rotor is flung outwards closer to the adaptive magnetic ring array and is subject to a strong magnetic field. This will generate an equally strong Lorentz force
(6):Under low RPM: The spool induction rotor is farther away from the adaptive magnetic ring array and does not experience a strong magnetic field. This allows for reduced braking force on the spool.
Compact At Only 22cm Around
Lightweight at only 139g
The circumference measures 13cm allowing for one handed operation.
The small and compact design allows for a comfortable grip and good ergonomics.
The ZANA’s frame is smaller compared to a traditional casting reel and has a better feel in hand when gripped. This allows for more comfort during extended use.
Alloy One-piece Frame
The lightweight aluminum alloy is cast and cold forged. The main frame of the reel is a one piece mold resulting in a compact fishing reel with high strength, high precision, and tight tolerances.
Tapered Line Guide For Reduced Friction
1:Cast and cold forged
2:Tapered hole design
3:Dis-engaging Line Guide
Standard Line Guide Design:Due to a small aperture size, the angle of pitch the fishing line experiences causes more friction and resistance.
Tapered Line Guide Design:The line guide has been redesigned to have a larger aperture to reduce the angle of pitch and improve casting distance.
Smooth And Precise Control
Critical components are supported by 6+1 double sealed waterproof ball bearings.
Precisely Machined Gears
Our gear set utilizes a double-axis bearing support system and are laser engraved, creating a refined and precise gearmesh that results in a smooth retrieve.
